This is an exceptional quality country house sofa from Kinnaird Castle in Scotland. It dates to the late 19th early 20th century. I would usually strip off any worn material but it feels a shame to not show this off in its original velvet and carpet covering. Of course it is to worn to salvage fully so we do suggest this is reupholstered. The shape of the sofa is super with wide splayed arms and square back. Deep seat and elegant tapered legs. Very comfy and an easy 3-4 person seater. Label with property of Kinnaird castle is on the back right leg as you look at it.
